Moggin' with Tabards - Tabard of the Hand, Leather (Sam's Transmog Contest)

So here is my second entry (leather version) for Samaramon's Transmog Contest. To reiterate, this contest is to design a transmog to go with Tabard of the Hand, the tabard that Draenei get in their starting zone from completing The Unwritten Prophecy.

This transmog would be for a Draenei monk, and if I had to choose, I'd say that this was my favorite of the four mogs that I put together for the contest.

My goal here was to choose armor pieces with similar shades of grey and orange that were used in the tabard, and then get kind of a blended look going on. See how the orange on the lower part of the tabard is darker, and it gradually gets lighter as it moves up the tabard? What I tried do do was something similar with all of the armor she is wearing. I used gear with darker shades of orange on her feet & legs and chose lighter pieces (still in the same shade) as they got higher on her body. The orange used on her shoulders & head are almost identical to the shade at the top of the tabard.

What's nice about this mog, is that the items used aren't that difficult to obtain either, and some of the pieces even have identical-looking alternatives.

Moggin' with Tabards - Order of the Cloud Serpent Tabard (Leather)

For my next few "Moggin' with Tabards" posts I'll be focusing on Transmogging outfits around the Order of the Cloud Serpent Tabard. This tabard can be purchased for 10 gold from San Redscale once reaching exalted with the Order of the Cloud Serpent. (Interestingly, you may also notice that the flavor text on this tabard is a quote straight out of Star Wars.)

I love the colors on this particular tabard, it really is quite gorgeous. Unfortunately when it's paired up with any old gear it just doesn't work - at all. Paired up with some pieces of similar color though, oo la la - it can actually be shown off!

The gear shown below is all fairly easy to aquire as well, minus the shoulders which really rely on having a little bit of good luck. There are some other more easily obtainable shoulders that would look very nice with this mog though; I've listed them further down in this post.

Scorpion (Mortal Kombat) - The Amazing Transmog Survivor Contest!

Round two: Fight!

Round two of The Amazing Transmog Survivor Contest was to create a Transmog based on a character from Mortal Kombat. JD's rules were to "choose a toon and basically create a costume emulating one of the characters from in the game.  Perhaps your Goblin will put on his best Scorpion or Sub-Zero costume…perhaps your Night Elf will grab a fan and look like Princess Kitana.  The choice is yours and any character is fair game.  Speaking of which, the full list can be found here.  As is the norm, the outfit must be a proper endgame Mog."

This is the set that I almost have finished for my rogue. I was trying to go for the more traditional style demon hunter here. With the Warglaives of Azzinoth not being transmogrifyable (holy heck - what a word), the Shard of Azzinoth makes a nice substitute. Remember, you only need one dagger to use the look on two!

Mogolympics Entry - Cycling

For anyone in the dark, JD of Amateur Azerothian is hosting a fun transmog contest called the Transmogolympics. The first two competition event results are in, and the entrants are now free to post their outfits if they choose. (I represented Undercity in this competition. My flagbearer can be seen on my other blog here: Mogolympics, Representin' Undercity.)

The first competition was the Cycling event. The rules: Build a biker outfit to compliment the Chopper.  It must be either Leather or Mail.
